I make banana bread all the time! It is quick and easy to make and is so so delicious! The bananas in it even let me convince myself its healthy. Banana’s are a natural source of Potassium and Carbs and make the bread very naturally sweet, so if you have a sweet tooth this is definitely for you.
This is a very simple recipe so you won’t need to many ingredients. It is best to wait until your bananas are over ripe so they are squishy and mashable! I usually make this if I have old bananas I don’t want to waste.
You Will Need
- 140g Softened Butter
- 140g plain four
- 140g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tea spoon of baking powder
- 2 ripe bananas mashed
- 1 loaf tin + baking paper
First off you will need to mix together your Butter and Sugar until they are lighter in colour and quite fluffy!
Crack your two eggs into a jug and beat together. Add them to the mixture bit by bit with a small amount of the flour so its not to sloppy. Once its all mixed together add the rest of the flour and combine.
Now add a tea spoon of baking powder, your mashed banana and mix it all together so the banana is evenly spread through the mix. Finally pour the mixture into a lined loaf tin and pop it in the over for 30-40 minutes.
Poke a Knife or a skewer into the bread, if it comes out clean its done! Carefully take it out of the tin and peel the baking paper off. Dust with icing sugar and now its ready to eat. Its extra good while its still warm!
